As part of our Driving the Changes Strategy, Twin Valley Homes has earmarked £1million a year over five years, (met by the outperformance of our business plan,) to ‘more than a landlord’ projects designed to enhance the quality of life for our customers.

The Supporting Communities Team are dedicated to developing new and existing projects, and liaising with partners, so that our projects make a difference to the lives of the residents within the communities in which we work.

Our projects relate to making our communities: safer, cleaner, and friendlier (community spirit & involvement), greener, healthier, and wealthier/more financially inclusive; to engage with young people and to tackle worklessness.

In the last 12 months we have supported over 100 individual projects.

As a major employer and stakeholder within the borough, we recognise some of the long-term issues that Blackburn with Darwen has to face and we want to contribute towards making this area a great place to live, work and enable each individual to develop to their potential. 

Our investment in the community will, in the long term, make good business sense as well as contributing to tackling deprivation and health inequalities in the borough.
