We want to build more new and affordable homes to add to our current housing stock. Although we are, like other industries, affected by the economic downturn we aim to construct new homes each year: some will be for rent, some for shared ownership through the HomeBuy scheme and some for out-right sale. We design new homes and estates, redevelop buildings on brown-field sites, develop areas of land, and then rent the new homes through B-with-Us or offer homes for shared ownership through My Front Door to help people take their first steps into home ownership. We undertake feasibility studies, design estate layouts, and design new homes which conform to the latest building regulations and which meet the Code for Sustainable Homes making our properties some of the most eco friendly in the borough. We also negotiate our proposals with the local planning and highways authorities to ensure our developments are right for the area. Once our new build projects are underway we see each development through from inception to handover and beyond. Our new homes are “quality assured” and meet the requirements of the NHBC.
