Innovative Blackburn project shortlisted for "Sustainable Housing Award"

TWIN Valley Homes’ Livesey Green development has been shortlisted for a prestigious Sustainable Housing Award.

The £3.3million Blackburn development has been shortlisted in the Sustainable Larger Social Housing Project of the Year category for developments over 25 homes.

Sustainability is one of the most pressing issues The Livesey Green developmentaffecting the social housing sector. Britain’s homes are responsible for a huge proportion of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions. This is why all new homes will have to meet tough new zero carbon standards by 2016.

And the 31-home scheme is a mix of shared ownership properties and those for rent and features some of the latest green technology to reduce the carbon footprint and energy bills.

The houses have been designed by Twin Valley Homes’ in-house architects and managed by the in-house development team.
