If you prefer to stay in your current home but would like the reassurance of knowing that help is at hand if you need it, why not consider the 24-hour emergency response service run by Twin Valley Homes Elderly Services Team.

Lifeline, which operates 365 days a year, is a community based service for older people or anyone who feels vulnerable. "I have found both lifeline and Twin Valley Homes very helpful and could find no fault whatsoever with the community alarm service"

It senses when the person wearing the monitor has fallen. When the monitor is tilted to a certain angle or if the monitor is dropped suddenly, it will emit a buzzing sound for 15 seconds. It can be worn on the body by attaching it to the waist belt or by using a strap that comes with the unit. Falls Monitors are especially useful to people who have epilepsy or experience blackouts.

Audioline Big Button Telephone - £13.99 + VAT (if applicable)
The Big Button Telephone is an easy-to-use telephone that has been designed for people who have difficulties using a standard telephone. The big button phone can be used in conjunction with a Lifeline unit.
  • Black buttons with white numbering = increased contrast for the visually impaired
  • Hearing aid compatible handset
  • Raised handset to aid people with limited dexterity
  • 10 number speed dial memory with record card
  • Handset rest for use when wall mounted
  • Ear piece volume control
  • 3 easy access speed dial keys
SUPRA KeySafe & Cover - £50.00 inc. fitting & VAT (TVH Residents), £70.00 inc fitting & VAT (Non TVH Residents) [001409(EU)]

The KeySafe service is an additional service provided to Lifeline customers. Help us to help you find a home for your retirement.

A New Lease of Life…
Some people mistakenly think that retirement living is like going into a nursing home and their independent life is over. Not so. As one sheltered tenant comments “……Moving here has given me a new lease of life – I should have done it years ago”.  Our retirement living accommodation houses many people who are independent of mind, sprightly and young at heart.

You can have the best of both worlds…
We offer a range of easy-to-manage flats, apartments and bungalows, designed for retirement living.  You don’t have to give up your independence, as all our retirement homes have their own front door – but we can take away some of the day-to-day worries which are part and parcel of managing a  home.  Forget the worry of repairs and maintenance – Twin Valley Homes provides a comprehensive, swift repairs service, free of charge.

Peace of Mind
Our retirement living services also provide the reassurance of 24 hour-round the clock emergency support, providing you and your family with peace of mind.  If your circumstances require it, you can also have a special pendant to wear, which you press to call for help if you have a fall or become poorly.

If you are extremely poorly, and require round the clock nursing then our accommodation may not be for you.  While we can help make sure you are well looked after, we are a social landlord who does not offer residential care.

Little things that make a big difference
Some accommodation has communal facilities. It’s nice to be able to say “Good Morning” to your fellow neighbours, meet new people, become reunited with old friends and join in the social activities. There is a dedicated scheme manager, who regularly visits you in your home and checks all is well. The grounds are landscaped which means you can enjoy pleasant surroundings without the hassle of keeping a garden.

If you are under 75 some of our homes include your TV licence fee at the special rate of £5 per year, a saving of £116!

What to do next….
We can help you find a home which suits you and your circumstances. The attached questionnaire will help us understand exactly the type of home you are ideally looking for.  If you think the services we provide are something which would suit your lifestyle, please complete the attached questionnaire and post it to:
